Food Recall
Everyone has by now heard about the Menu Foods pet food recall. Our hearts go out to those around the country who have lost beloved pets or had to deal with their pet's illness due to the recalled food. If you suspect your pet has eaten any of the recalled foods or treats, you should stop feeding it immediately. We also recommend that you bring your cat or dog in to the clinic for a blood and urine test. These tests will help us determine if your pet's kidneys have been affected by the foods. Kidney failure is very serious, but if it is happening because of the toxins in the food, prompt treatment is your pet's best chance of pulling through. Signs of kidney failure include increased drinking and urination, decreased appetite or vomiting and lethargy.
