During the month of May and June many of our clients will notice new faces around Parkway. It's that time of year again for aspiring Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians to complete their internships/externships at facilities nationwide and Parkway is pleased to be able to assist these students with their academic goals.

The internships vary from college to college, but they typically require the students to complete a minimum of 200-240 unpaid hours over the course of 5-6 weeks in an approved veterinary facility. During this time, the students will observe daily procedures and assist according to their current knowledge base and learning curve. It is a critical and priceless experience for students as they learn how to juggle school, work, personal time and internship hours.

Should you stop in for an appointment or to pick-up medication within the next few weeks, be sure to save a smile for these students of ours - you could be the one client who gives them the resolve to make it through their first major internship!
